Dry skin people always struggle to keep skin hydrated properly all the day. You need a good skin care routine that helps you keep moisture so that you can prevent your skin from feeling dry and uncomfortable by the end of the day. 1. Choosing the wrong product

Choosing the right skincare product is important for your skin’s health. To choose the right product you must have to know your skin type because this helps you select which kind of products is best suitable for you. We generally grab products that have good reviews or products that are in hype. Always check labels for active ingredients before buying any products. Ingredients are written from maximum to the minimum amount that is there in the products.

2. Never cleanse your face too often

Wash your face in the morning and evening with a gentle face wash that cleanses but doesn’t strip the skin of oil. Before activities, use a makeup remover wipe instead of washing but if you feel the need to wash your face, simply splash plain water on it but don’t do this many times even just washing your face with water can dry out your skin.

3. Don’t use harsh cleansers

Don’t choose just any random cleanser, not all cleansers are suitable for all skin types. Get the right cleanser for your skin type, Otherwise it will dry out your skin. Choose less foaming and cream type cleansers that are best for dry skin.

4. Avoid wearing matte makeup

The wrong makeup can make your skin look dry, cakey and patchy, even if you always follow a strict skin care routine. Try to avoid using matte makeup if you are having dry skin. Choose liquid or creamy products that create a dewy finish.

5. Never use hot water

While hot water may feel good in winters, it can deplete your skin’s natural moisturizers, including fatty acids and lipids. Even very cold water can also be damaging, so wash with lukewarm to normal water.

6. Avoid over exfoliation

You need to remove dead skin cells from your face. Otherwise, the cells will gather on your skin and make it look dry, dull and flaky. So you don’t need to avoid the scrub, just apply the scrub gently and avoid aggressive rubbing.

Note: Avoid using too many acids or that have these ingredients like salicylic acid( use of salicylic acid for a long time can make your skin drier because it is important for acne on oily skin), retinoic acid (gonna dry your skin), glycolic acid (Skin dryness, flaking, scabbing, peeling, redness and scarring are some other side effects), alcohols (can cause dryness, irritation and breakouts and also dehydrates the skin) for dry skin.
